The term "henna" is derived from an Arabic word. It is made from the leave of plant. It is. Manly used for women to decorate their hands and feet, mostly their hands. 



Mehndi (henna) is
a ceremonial art form common in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Nepal. It is typically applied during weddings - for Sikh, Muslim, and Hindu brides and on special occasions such as for Muslims on their Eid. In Rajasthan, the grooms are given designs that are often as elegant as those for brides.

        Decorating their hands was an old culture for Muslims and Hindus, it has been coming from many many past centuries.
